By using a mixture of marketing, technology, and pay structure, our franchisees have not been significantly affected by the caregiver shortage experienced across the country. We certainly experienced a lull in the beginning of the pandemic as families and caregivers alike adapted. Soon after, however, we experienced an influx of business, with many needing care immediately.
The technology already in place allowed our office staff to seamlessly transition to working remotely while still providing the same support to the caregivers. Virtual interviews and orientations were used to continue hiring caregivers even when the country was completely shut down.
It’s worth mentioning as well that this caregiver shortage goes beyond the healthcare industry. Every industry nationwide is seeing a shortage of workers.
