Steps to become a franchise owner
Initial Inquiry
We'll send you some introductory information to get you started on the journey of learning more about 2nd Family. The next step would be to have a 1-hour video call in which we introduce you to all aspects of our brand and give you a taste of what it would be like to run your own 2nd Family business.
Brand Overview Presentation
During the Brand Overview call, we will present to you a detailed review of the 4 main components of the 2nd Family business model - Business Development, Recruiting and Scheduling, Nursing, and Administrative. We will identify which role you will occupy, and what team you will need to build around you.
Franchise Disclosure Document
After the Brand Overview call you will receive a copy of our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). This regulated legal document will contain information regarding all of the training, support, and costs associated with the opening the franchised business, as well as a copy of the official franchise agreement.
Executive Call
During this hour-long call, you will have an opportunity to review the information found in the FDD with a member of 2nd Family's Executive Team. This is also a great opportunity to get clarity on any aspects of the business that are still unclear.
Franchise Application
At this stage, we will ask you to complete a formal application. On the application, we will ask to verify work history and finacial requirements necessary to qualify for our territory award process.
Validation
Here you will be connected with 1-2 current 2nd Family franchise owners to ask questions and continue your process of vetting us. Franchise development personnel will not be present, so you and the 2nd Family franchise owner can speak candidly.
Meet the Family Day
We will invite you to visit our corporate headquarters in Maryland for a day of meeting our team and seeing a functioning 2nd Family office in action. We'll also head to dinner to break bread together. If we intend to award you a franchise agreement, we will do so during this event.
Franchise Award
The final step is to award you a franchise agreement and assigned territory and officially welcome you to 2nd Family!
